The Arts Commission at Northminster Church
“One should hear a little music, read a little poetry, and see a fine picture every day, in order that worldly cares may
not obliterate the sense of the beautiful which God has implanted in the human soul." -Goethe
At Northminster Church, we cherish the arts and periodically invite local artists to share their work with us by exhibiting in the church’s narthex, and we encourage young people to share their artistic gifts through an annual Easter Arts Show. Additionally, the arts help Northminster speak to souls listening and longing for creativity and new life. From its inception, Northminster has offered innovation and aesthetics in every moment of worship. Through choral, instrumental and floral offerings, individuals join together at Northminster to offer praise and prayer to God through artistic endeavor and colorful beauty. We welcome the creative gifts of all, and hope to continue learning from our community what it means to worship God through the medium of the arts.
